What is Flourish Women's Workshop?
Flourish Women's Workshop is an event hosted by Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ created to be an engaging day of encouragement for women and young ladies in our community. Our guest speaker Laura Jenkins regularly counsels and ministers to girls of all ages, and her messages regarding anxiety and difficult emotions will be handled with gentleness and are age-appropriate for ages 11+. Come and join us as we strive to cultivate a place in our hearts for spiritual growth and refocus our hearts on the hope that we share through Christ as we dive into God's Word together!

When is the event and where will it be held?
Flourish Women’s Workshop is scheduled for September 20th, and it will be held at the Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ building. We will be hosting the event from 9:00am-2:30pm, but doors open at 8:15am for packet pick-up, coffee, and pastries.
What is the schedule?
8:15 am - Doors open for Coffee, pastries, child drop-off, & packet/book pickup
9:00 am - Welcome & Lesson 1: Consider the Lilies - When Worry Grows Wild
10:00 - 10:25 am - Group A: Craft and snacks in fellowship hall / Group B Breakout session 1
10:30 - 10:55 am - Group A: Breakout session 1/ Group B: Craft and snacks in fellowship hall
11:00 am - Lesson 2: Consider the Lilies - Tending What's Within
11:45 am - 12:25 pm - Group A: Lunch onsite / Group B: Breakout Session 2
12:30 pm - 1:10 pm - Group A: Breakout Session 2 / Group B: Lunch onsite
1:15 pm - Lesson 3: Consider the Lilies - Tending What's Within
2:00 - 2:30 pm - Door Prizes & Closing
Who is our Guest Speaker?
Laura Jenkins, M.S.S.W., L.M.S.W., has served as a counselor at Mount Juliet church of Christ since 2010. She and her husband Philip have two children, Lucas and Holley. Laura completed her Bachelor of Science at Freed-Hardeman University in 2006 and received her Master of Social Work from the University of Tennessee in 2010. She knows that counseling must treat the mind, body, and spirit and believes that each individual can learn the coping skills and tools to overcome hardship. She encourages her clients to discover their strengths. She promotes compassion to self while empowering clients to make the changes they seek using God’s truth as a guide.
We are THRILLED to have Laura back with us for Flourish this year!

Will lunch be provided?
Complimentary lunch will be provided to all registered guests (age 11 & up).

Is Childcare available?
Yes - We want both moms and their kiddos to flourish with us! Workshop sessions are geared toward ages 11 and up, and young ladies will be put into break-out session groups with their peers for age-appropriate conversation. Complimentary childcare will be provided for children ages 3-10 years old. Please include your child's/children's name(s) and age(s) in the provided space when you register here, and please pack a sack lunch for your child.
